About the Fund
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex through Archewell have selected The Women’s Economic Future Fund as one of 20 acts of compassion to celebrate women.
Women have been disproportionately impacted by Covid-19 and for women of color that impact has been compounded. Seneca Women and Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors have created The Women’s Economic Future Fund to support nonprofits that advance women’s economic empowerment, health and safety. Any contribution to the Fund will be evenly split among the 10 nonprofits. The Fund has been launched with support from P&G and Mastercard.
Safe Horizon
SafeHorizon provides support for victims of abuse and violence. With a surge in domestic violence due to Covid-19, SafeHorizon empowers victims to find safety and support.
Virtue Foundation
The Virtue Foundation promotes global health by providing actionable data and direct resources for communities most vulnerable to Covid-19 and other health crises.
Vital Voices
Vital Voices searches the world for women leaders with daring vision for change and partners with them to make these visions a reality. Vital Voices’ Covid-19 relief fund supports women around the world.
Grameen America
Co-founded by Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus and led by Andrea Jung, Grameen America offers micro-loans to low-income women entrepreneurs and provides economic relief to members during Covid-19.
Women in Alzheimer’s Research Fund at Mount Sinai
The Fund is working to help detect and treat cognitive impairments in aging women, who are among the most vulnerable populations affected by the unfolding health and economic crisis in the U.S.
Justice for Migrant Women
Justice for Migrant Women protects and advances migrant women’s rights through education, public awareness and advocacy.
New York Women's Foundation
The foundation advances economic, gender and racial justice by boldly investing in community solutions and leaders.
Girl Scouts – Troop 6000
Girl Scout Troop 6000 is specially designed to serve the thousands of homeless girls in NYC.
iCivics
Founded by Justice Sandra Day O’Connor and championed by Justice Sonia Sotomayor, iCivics helps students understand the tools for active civic engagement and participation.
YWCA
YWCA USA works to eliminate racism and empower women by engaging women on important advocacy issues and offering programming to address fundamental issues facing women nationwide.
